The Science of Cleansing

Regular soaps and body washes are made by saponification of fats and vegetable oils and as a result, they have a highly alkaline pH of around 10. This can disrupt the natural pH balance of your skin-a.k.a the balance of the acid-alkaline levels- thus causing dryness, ageing and skin damage.

Healthy skin needs to have a slightly acidic pH of 5-7 which is optimal to prevent moisture loss, combat harmful microbes and free radicals that cause ageing.
The Unsoap Bathing Bar is a soap-free, sulphate-free cleansing bar that maintains the natural PH balance of your skin at 5.5-6 level and gently cleanses without drying.

Kashmiri Saffron Oil
An exquisite ingredient that is ethically sourced from the valleys of Kashmir. Indulge your senses with the rich Kashmiri Saffron which hydrates and keeps your skin feeling lustrous and healthy. The Kashmiri Saffron oil is packed with anitbacterial and purifying properties, and makes for a relaxing and gentle cleansing experience.

Contains alpha-santalol, which is an inhibitor of abnormal pigmentation associated with aging and exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. It also has potent anti-microbial and anti-fungal qualities that protect skin from pollution, dust and other clogging agents. Only 100% pure and unadulterated sandalwood slow-milled dust using the purest heartwood ethically sourced from the forests of South-India is used in our formulations.

Gently massage on wet skin, and rinse thoroughly with water. Can be used on the face and body. Follow with a moisturiser of your choice.

    The Unsoap bar is suitable for all skin types. The Sandiva Unsoap Bathing gently cleanses and hydrates while maintaining the natural Ph of the skin.

  2. Can I use this cleansing bar on the face?

    Yes, the Sandiva Unsoap bar can be used on face and body as it is made with 100% pure and unadulterated sandalwood to provide gentle cleansing and it is also sulphate free.

  3. How long will the bar last?

    The bar will last for 3-4 weeks based on your usage. Keeping the soap dry between uses might help make it last longer. 

  4. Is the Unsoap for daily use?

    Yes, Sandiva Unsoap can be used everyday as it gently cleanses without damaging the skin.

  5. Will I need a moisturizer after I use this cleansing bar? 

    The sulphate free, pH balanced formula ensures very gentle cleansing without drying. Most people will not require a moisturizer post wash with the Unsoap bar. However we understand that this could be a matter of personal preference.

Our range of sandalwood-based SPF products use physical UV filters (mainly Zinc Oxide) that are extremely effective in protecting your skin from the sun. Unfortunately, Zinc oxide is also the culprit behind that unsightly white cast that we all dislike in almost all sun protection products! But that won’t be a problem with Sandiva! We have developed our products in 4 different tints that cancel out the white cast and blend the SPF product beautifully into every Indian skin tone.

Our tints have been developed to match a range of diverse skin tones. So you need not worry too much about finding that exact match for your skin! The closest match is sure to blend well.Also remember - our products are not developed to be a concealer or foundation.
